Drive In Website

Overview

This is a space reservation flow for a drive in theater. It will allow users to pick a time, location, and space for a movie and also order refreshments in advance.

  • Design a space reservation flow so that customers can reserve a space while they book their ticket.

  • UX designer designing a website for from conception to delivery.

  • Paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, accounting for accessibility, and iterating on designs.

Personas

I created personas and user journey maps to understand the types of users I’m designing this website for and what kinds of additional features they’d like.

  • Donna is a 22 year old who spends her days at USF working on her art degree before she goes to her part time job as a barista. Her busy schedule leaves her drained so for date night she and her girlfriend go to see a movie for date nights.

Donna gets frustrated while ordering refreshments because she has Celiac’s Disease, which means she can’t eat gluten. However food items are not always labelled as containing gluten or gluten free.

  • Katherine is a 43 year old mother of 3. He spends his days at work as a hair stylist before coming home to spend time with her family. Together they enjoy taking trips to the Drive In for a weekly movie night.

She is frustrated with the booking process on the web because it is not always clear which way the spaces are facing. Katherine doesn’t want to think she booked a space in the front, just to find out she mistakenly booked a space in the back
